Twe12ve is filled with powder, jumps, rails, sick lines, memories, good music, amazing riders, quality shots, avalanches, slams, mountains and cliff dropping. Yes, that is definitely 12 things you would look for in a snowboard movie, but the crew did not name the movie Twe12ve for that reason. No, it was for these Twe12ve reasons: Bode Merill, Gigi Rüf, Sylvain Bourbousson, Dan Brisse, Johnnie Paxson, JP Solberg, Mat Schaer, Annie Boulanger, Lucas Debari, Wolfgang Nyvelt, Romain Demarchi and Nicolas Müller.
The highlights of the movie include:
- The last trick Gigi pulls off. I will not say more, you will have to see.
-The overall riding of Dan Brisse and Sylvain Bourbousson.
-Nicolas Müller riding makes you think he is magic, the tricks he pulls off may be just that.
- Now not to knock the riders but the music is definitely a highlight... One hint: BOURBOUSSON!
On the dark side of the force is the fact that the credits are almost as long as the movie. Really, they are longer than a Hollywood blockbuster... I do like to complain about some little things from time to time.
There is for more than a half hour bonus video, but there is two stand out parts.
The first one is the awesome 9 minutes photo slideshow. I do not know if it is because I am a photographer but I enjoyed the photo presentation even more than the movie itself.
Finally, no snowboard movie would be complete without a notorious slam section. Twe12ve is no exception and there is no shortage of hard falls.
