DIRTY PEACE

DIRTY PEACE / Reviewed by Alex Thomas

As I was looking  at the back cover of the DIRTY PEACE dvd, I notice that the resume was telling me to be prepared to have the need to strap in my board and whip out some tricks... That is what I really needed in order to get me pumped. I must say that I've been stuck in a sofa for more than two weeks due to a surgery and the craving for action is getting stronger from one day to another.  A snowboard film can only do good... right? Plus, DIRTY PEACE is produced by SEQUENCE FILMS out of ''LA BELLE PROVINCE''. It is always fun to see guys you meet here and there ride in a movie.

Ghislain Montpetit, Alex Beaucage, Luc Gosselin, Shawn Colley and Jeremy Cloutier are among the riders present in this film produced by JAY.P Veillet. East Costers and French canadians are well known for charging hard and fearlessness. This is what I was looking foward too..

To my surprise, DIRTY PEACE didn't meet my expectations. Bails are everywhere and this is not what I wanted to see. Sure wipeouts are part of the daily routine of a snowboarder but when you buy a movie, it is the nickel landed tricks that you want to see, the ones that are the highest, the smoothest, the hardest and the one that will fit in the normal evolution of snowboarding. Watching DIRTY PEACE was good beacuse snowboarding is always fun to watch but with less running time and a better soundtrack, things would have been different.

I know that each rider present in that movie worked really hard last winter in order to get a part and all of them are talented.
Jeremy Cloutier should have had the first part of the movie because it was in my opinion the best part of
it. Keep a eye on Jeremy because his ascention on the snowboard scene is gaining speed.

You know what? Everyone should have the right to make up their own opinion. Buy DIRTY PEACE and whatch it, if you like it, that's good because you just paid for it. If you don't like it, then think of it as a investment for the next year production of Sequence Films.
